The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Medicine, Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in partnership with Alberta Health Services and Covenant Health, invites applications for an Academic Physiatrist to be based at the University of Alberta/Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital.Located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the Faculty has been internationally recognized as among the worlds top 50 medical schools and as one of Canadas premier health-education institutions.The University is currently home to more than 38,000 students with more than 15,000 faculty and staff.

Key accountabilities of the Academic Physiatrist will include but will not be limited to clinical coverage for the stroke rehabilitation and amputation rehabilitation programs (inpatient consults, outpatient clinics), research in a field relevant to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and involvement in medical education of undergraduate and graduate learners.
The successful candidate will be offered a contingent tenured or tenure-track appointment in the Department of Medicine, with the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, which is in accordance with the University of Alberta Faculty Agreement and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be an MD (or equivalent) with certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
