The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Community Pediatrician to take on a 0.1 FTE leadership role for the Alberta Childrens Hospital Complex Care Program (ACCP). This role will lead the focus of the current ACCP from a hospital-centric complex care program to a unified hospital-community care program in order to better respond to the needs and wishes of patients and families by caring for them closer to home.

This role will work collaboratively with ACH and community partners to support more integrated service delivery and seamless coordination of ambulatory subspecialty services necessary for the ongoing care of Children with Medical Complexity (CMC). The community-based component of the ACCP will complement an existing Acute Complex Care program at ACH and support the continuum of care through collaborative partnerships.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have the following qualifications: MD, Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) in Pediatrics.

The ideal candidate will have recent work experience as a Community Pediatrician with an appointment in the Department of Pediatrics, Calgary Zone, demonstrated abilities in communication, team building, effective liaising with various stakeholders and a passion for quality and patient care.

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.Must read, write, and speak English.
