Responsibilities/Duties:
The Northern Lights Regional Hospital is currently looking for an anesthesiologist to join their team of specialists in the community of Fort McMurray. The successful candidate must have training and expertise (FRCPC or FRCPC eligible)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Reside in and have as his/her primary residence, Fort McMurray.
Provide hospital and call support as required.
Contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities.
Contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities as assigned
The Northern Lights Regional Health Centre is a 95 bed acute care facility with a busy emergency department, ICU, and specialty services in OBGYN, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, ENT, urology, dentistry, palliative care, pediatrics, and psychiatry; hosting 7,267 admissions, more than 60,000 emergency department visits, approximately 1,244 deliveries and more than 5,371 OR procedures, 5,811 endoscopies annually.

Educational Requirements:
Registration with the Royal College of Canada is required.
Registration with the CPSA or proof of Eligibility for Alberta Licensure (required with application).
Preference will be given to applicants who do not require or have completed the CPSA Preliminary Clinical Assessment.

On Call Stipend - Physicians are remunerated for being on call.
