Covenant Health in partnership with Alberta Health Services and the Department of Family Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta, invites applications for Clinical Associates.

Clinical Associates (Non-MRP Hospitalists) are fully licensedphysicians who manage the medical co-morbidities of the patients within a defined clinical service in consultation with or under the direction of the attending physician andrespond to consultation requests on behalf of the clinical service from other clinical services or emergency on the direction of the attending physician.

Covenant Health is currently accepting applications from eligible physicians to provide Clinical Associate coverage on the following Acute Care Coverage After-Hours Schedules:

Grey Nuns Hospital

  • CCU+ (CCU, GIM, Neurology)
  • PCHT Family Medicine
  • Surgical Services
  • Psychiatry

Misericordia Hospital

  • ICU/CCU
  • Medicine In-House (PCHT Family Medicine, Non-Teaching GIM, Villa Caritas Geriatric Psychiatry)

An after-hours co-managed care clinical ARP is being developed for the Misericordia and Grey Nuns Hospitals. All Clinical Associate providers will have the opportunity to apply for upcoming opportunities as part of the c-ARP recruitment process.

Required:

  • MD
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
  • Expertise and commitment to quality care and patient safety.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) in the healthcare environment.
  • Understanding of Just Culture and its role in healthcare.
