Position title: CMD position for Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) program in Addiction and Mental Health (ACH, FMC, PLC, RGH, SHC), Calgary Zone
We need a CMD position to lead the development, implementation and coordination of these programs across the Calgary Zone, working with partners at all hospitals.
The mental health program in Calgary is currently the only one in Alberta that does not have an organized outpatient Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) program for clients who need it. This is problematic as it limits access to this lifesaving therapy for clients and impacts bed flow and length of stay issues key proprieties for AHS. This is because the only way to access this therapy in Calgary is via an ER presentation and inpatient admission. Improving this is a key priority area for the Department of Psychiatry and we have operational support.
Were passionate about what we do. Our team of skilled and dedicated health care professionals, support staff, and physicians promote wellness and provide health care every day, all across the Calgary Zone. We are an equal opportunity employer. AHS values the diversity of the people and communities we serve and is committed to attracting, engaging and developing a diverse and inclusive workforce.
