Alberta Health Services, Department of Medicine, in conjunction with the University of Calgary invites applications for a full-time clinical endocrinologist with expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of genetic lipid disorders.
The Division of Endocrinology at the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary has been a national leader in the study and care of persons living with clinically severe and genetically determined lipid disorders for persons living in southern Alberta and we are looking to further expand our capacity for care given increasing demand for these specialized services.
In addition to providing care in the Familial Cholesterol Disorders Clinic, this endocrinologist will also provide care in our general endocrinology program and the Diabetes in Pregnancy program. This endocrinologist will also provide on-call consultation services at all teaching hospitals in the Calgary Zone and provide bedside and formal endocrinology education for both undergraduate and postgraduate medical learners.
Qualifications:
MD, FRCPC (Endocrinology)
Eligibility for licensure in the province of Alberta
Established reputable excellence in clinical care and teaching of medical students and residents
Expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of genetic lipid disorders
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write and speak English.
