Alberta Health Services is seeking aGeneral Practitioner with recent and relevant training and experience in Family Medicine and Anesthesia.The successful candidate will be expected to join the Olds Anesthesia Group which will provide elective anesthesia services in Olds and Innisfail and on-call anesthesia coverage in Olds.There is also an option to provide ER and Hospitalist coverage as required at the Innisfail Hospital & Care Centre. There is an opportunity to join the low-risk obstetrical group in Olds, this will involve PCN clinic and on call duties. The successful candidate is expected to participate in primary care in one of the communities they service.
Qualifications:
Required Competencies
- A successful candidate will hold valid and relevant license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
- Recent experience (within the last 12 months) of independent Family Medicine practice where the physician has been the most responsible physician for a wide range of Family Medicine patients
- Experience and training in Anaesthetics including epidurals
- Applicant must also be able to provide proof of participation in relevant Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs
- Emergency on-call experience (within last 24 months.

- Certificate of the College of Family Physicians (CCFP) with Anesthesia
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
