lberta Health Services and the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine are seeking a full time psychiatrist for the Inpatient Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) at the Rockyview General Hospital (RGH). Opportunities for both full-time and locum positions are available.
The CSU is a 23-hour inpatient unit in which the Psychiatrists work in a collaborative team with an ultra-short stay focus. This is a permanent position in which the Psychiatrist may have the potential to also have work in the Outpatient Consultation Clinic, Day Hospital, and/or on a regular Inpatient Unit.
Rockyview General Hospital is a community teaching hospital that has two general inpatient psychiatry units, one inpatient geriatric psychiatry unit, and the inpatient crisis stabilization unit. We also have a busy psychiatric emergency team, consultation liaison services (both geriatric and adult), a day hospital, and a psychiatric consultation clinic.
At Rockyview General Hospital, having a team approach is important to us and we are looking for a candidate who is not only interested in taking on a primary role at the CSU, but also becoming an integral part of the functioning of the RGH. We have a strong history of collaboration and support of one another and we work to help our colleagues out, when needed. The suitable candidate will be interested in working as a team player.

ACandidates should have, or be eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry and have licensure with the College of Physician and Surgeons of Alberta.
