Covenant Health in partnership with Alberta Health Services invites applications for an Infectious Diseases Specialist (Locum) to be based primarily at the Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.

This is a one year locum opportunity starting January 1, 2024.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide adult infectious diseases clinical services for a period of 12 weeks over the term of the locum, which will include (but will not be limited to) inpatient consultation and ambulatory clinics (IV antimicrobial therapy clinic, care of patients with HIV, general ID in outpatient department), and participation in/equitable share of regional weekend on call inpatient consultation services to patients at the Misericordia Community Hospital and Royal Alexandra Hospital.
Required:
MD or equivalent.
Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Certification in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent.
Commitment to quality care and patient safety.
