Alberta Health Services is accepting applications from family or emergency physicians for a locum opportunity at Airdrie Urgent Care Centre.
This position is available immediately. The locum will provide coverage for both day and night 8 hour shifts for a period of 6 months.
Airdrie is a vibrant community of 74,000 people, 30 minutes north of Calgary. The Urgent Care (UC) functions as the primary source of urgent medical treatment for all presenting individuals with 40% of the presentations being pediatric patients. The UC also serves a large catchment area of surrounding communities and north Calgary.

Qualifications:
The successful applicant needs to have a keen interest in ER/Urgent Care. Preference will be given to applicants who have at least 2 years of ER/Urgent Care/Rural Emergency experience. The applicant should be comfortable with managing a wide range of high acuity presentations, including sedation and resuscitation. The successful candidate needs to provide proof of ACLS/PALS/conscious sedation training such as ProSed.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write and speak English.
