Provide specialist services with the support of the general Family Medicine physicians providing services in High Risk Obstetrics. Gyne services will also be required.
The successful candidate is recruited for the community of High Level.
The successful candidate may choose to operate their business by joining an existing practice or by opening their own practice. This is the candidate's business choice and will not be managed through the recruitment process.
Duties include, but not be limited to:
- Reside in and have as his/her primary residence in the community of High Level.
- Establish and maintain a full time community based practice within the community.
- Provide hospital and call support as required.
- Contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities; interest in management.
- Contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be eligible to practice as an OB/Gyne Specialist per CPSA Standards - required
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada - desired
- Fellowship or equivalent - desired
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - required
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) - desired
- Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) - desired
- Advances in Labour and Risk Management (ALARM) - required
- Managing Obstetrical Risk Efficiently (MOREOB) - required
Additional competencies:
- Low Risk Obstetrics
- High Risk Obstetrics
Candidate must have hands on experience offering OBGYN services as the sole provider within the past 1-2 years.
Preference will be given to applicants who do not require, or have completed, the CPSA Practice Readiness Assessment (PRA-AB).
