GRANDE PRAIRIE - Alberta Health Services - North Zone, is seeking a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist and Skilled Surgeon, with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical experience during residency may be considered) in Cataract surgery and Glaucoma.

The new Ophthalmologist will have Alberta Health Services - hospital & surgical privileges.
The position will include regular hospital and after-hours on call.

Duties include but not limited to:
Reside in and have as his/her primary residence, Grande Prairie
Establish and maintain a full time community based practice within the community
Provide hospital and hospital on call assistance
Contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities
Contribute to and participate in other administrative duties as assigned.

The successful candidate must be in compliance with Alberta Health Services Immunization of Workers for COVID19 policy prior to their start date. By applying to this position you are confirming your ability and willingness to comply with the policy.

The successful candidate may choose to join an existing community based practice; or establish a new practice within the community.

Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) or proof of CPSA Eligibility for Alberta Licensure is required (to be included with application)

Educational Requirements:
Registration with the CPSA or proof of Eligibility for Alberta Licensure (required with application)

Registration with the Royal College of Canada (FRCSC) or eligibility is desired

Preference will be given to applicants who do not require or have completed the CPSA Preliminary Clinical Assessment.
