Responsibilities/Duties:

The Department of Surgery, Alberta Health Services-Calgary Zone and the University of Calgary invite applications for a Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon to work at the South Health Campus. This will be a locum position covering the practice of a surgeon who is on leave from September 1, 2021 – December 31, 2021

Qualifications:

Qualifications include an MD, a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, subspecialty training in hip and knee arthroplasty surgery and eligibility for licensure in the province of Alberta.

The successful applicant will be expected to fulfill the clinical obligations of the surgeon on leave including performing surgery on currently booked and new elective hip and knee arthroplasty patients, follow-up of existing patients and consultation on new patients, overseeing residents and medical students. The successful applicant would have on call responsibilities for general orthopedic fracture care.

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
