The Department of Surgery, Alberta Health Services Calgary Zone and the University of Calgary, Section of Orthopaedic Surgery invite applications for a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Qualifications must include an MD, Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and additional fellowship training in Arthroplasty and Orthopaedic Trauma. Eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta is required.

The successful candidate will join the Rockyview General Hospital Orthopaedic Surgery group and participate in an Orthopaedic call schedule. Fracture clinic support and elective surgical resources will reside at the Rockyview General Hospital. Arthroplasty clinic support will reside at the Alberta Hip and Knee Clinic.

The successful candidate will act as a preceptor for learners at all levels of undergraduate and post-graduate medical education and will retain an appointment with The Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary. The successful candidate will have an interest in clinical or basic research and will support ongoing hospital site and Orthopaedic Section based research. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise medical students, residents and fellows in their research efforts.

Administrative roles within the Section of Orthopaedic Surgery will be mandated. The successful candidate will embrace a collaborative model to advance patient care and quality improvement.
In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
