The successful applicant will join eight academic pediatric respirologists providing a full spectrum of clinical respiratory medicine services. In addition to clinical care, the division is active in teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has a fully accredited Pediatric respirology subspecialty-training program through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The division also has an active basic and clinical science research program, collaborating locally, nationally, and internationally.

This position is a 1.0 full-time equivalent and will comprise approximately 50% clinical service and 50% academic pursuits with an academic focus on lung transplant. The focus on lung transplantation may include but is not limited to, research excellence, international leadership, or educational excellence. Consequently, advanced degrees supporting an academic focus (e.g., PhD, MBA) would be an asset. Of note, contributions to education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels are expected from all faculty.

Interested applicants must hold an MD and must have completed a subspecialty residency in Pediatric Respirology, and be certified or eligible to become a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Pediatric Respirology). Additional training in lung transplant and/or recent experience caring for pediatric lung transplant patients are considered assets.
