The Section of Pediatric Rheumatology, Department of Pediatrics, invites applications for a 0.8 FTE locum position. The successful candidate will have 100% of their time committed to clinical activity. The successful candidate will provide ambulatory clinic services, inpatient consultation, and on-call services. This position may be filled by more than one physician depending on the Sections needs. The Section of Pediatric Rheumatology is comprised of 7 specialists and is based at the state-of-the-art Alberta Childrens Hospital. The Department of Pediatrics has over 300 clinical and academic faculty members who are part of the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. The Alberta Childrens Hospital services the City of Calgary and the residents of Southern Alberta, SE British Columbia and SW Saskatchewan: a catchment area of ~ 3 million people. Calgary is a vibrant city of over 1.6 million people. It offers a superb quality of life. Qualifications:
Candidates must have the following qualifications: MD, Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) in Pediatrics and Pediatric Rheumatology.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write and speak English. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority.
