The site chief is instrumental in liaising with other services to provide rapid solutions and engagement to unexpected problems. He/she actively engages with nursing manager to troubleshoot and resolve local site issues both on the wards and in the outpatient department. He/she acts as a "go to" person with site specific knowledge for the medical staff.

Alberta Health Services has approved a mandatory Immunization of Workers for COVID-19 vaccine policy, effective immediately. In accordance with the Policy, all contractors and AHS employees, including medical and midwifery staff are required to befully immunizedagainst COVID-19 prior to their first day of practice.
Qualifications include an MD with certification in Cardiology and a proven record of administrative excellence. Eligibility for licensure in cardiology in the Province of Alberta is required. Previous experience in a city or provincial health care system and administrative experience are assets for the position of Section Chief of Cardiology.
Applicants at the Associate Professor level must present evidence of a strong publication record, evidence of successful teaching and supervision, and evidence of established academic engagement in professional and other communities.
Applicants at the Professor level must provide evidence of an outstanding academic publication record, outstanding teaching and supervision record and evidence of academic service and/or leadership.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
